And I'll just fade away to blue.
On March 16, 2013 the music world lost a true talent. Jason Molina of Songs: Ohia, Magnolia Electric Co., and several other projects and solo endeavors was found dead in his Indianapolis home. It’s been nine days since his passing, and I’ve spent this time listening to his catalog in more depth. This is an article written by Sean Moeller for the Daytrotter session Magnolia Electric Co....

I’ve driven about 800 miles of Interstate 40 the past 48 hours or so. Needless to say I have quite an accumulation of thoughts. Isn’t it funny how the actions of someone you wouldn’t know from Adam, thousands of miles away can totally turn your world upside down? One phone call and everything in your life past, present, and future is just shot all to shit. It’s like that...

Lynette Was Left Stranded at a Lucero Show →
For anyone wondering why Lucero fans are so obsessed with one band, this is why. It isn’t just the music; it’s the family. Y’all help if you can. Share if you want.
dearbennichols:
Y’all DO NOT EVEN KNOW what our dear Lynette had to go through in order to not only go to a Lucero show but also get y’all a really rad interview with Benjamin Nichols (coming this week). Please...

The end of an era in Memphis.
Since 1998 the Hi Tone cafe has been a great local Memphis venue. The building itself has been around long before Dave Lorrison transitioned it into a hub for great music. This comes as a blow for the area’s local music scene. With...
Upcoming Music Overload.
It’s cold here in Tennessee these days. We’ve settled into winter and can only hope for an early spring. Spending my days out in the frigid (yes, the 30’s are frigid for a southerner like me) weather, makes me look for ways to get warm. Of course, there’s always whiskey and coffee. But, honestly, nothing warms me up more than good music. (Alright, maybe good music and...
It’s been months since I checked up on this thing. Hell, I forgot I even had a tumblr account. I’ve got to change the emptiness on here. Stay tuned. I’ll find something to talk about.

All Sewn Up tattoo gallery?
We all know how big tattoos are in the Lucero world. So how about this? Email your tats to luceroanonymous@gmail.com and my goal is to start a gallery of great ink. Tell me a little about them like why you got them and what the inspiration was. C’mon, folks, show me what keeps you sewn together.
I’ve began rereading Cormac McCarthy’s “Blood Meridian” and listening to Last Pale Light in the West. Ben did an amazing job at capturing the tone of that great piece of literature. Great read and a great listen.
1st post
Alright, this is my 1st tumblr post. My name’s Matt. I don’t rightfully know what all I will be posting here, but you can be sure that it will be Lucero related. Rock on, my friends.
